  1. Has he even hit one to the warning track
  2. not sure about that.... these guys are professionals, they've been doing pretty much nothing but baseball for years....
  3. So, your gut hutch jumped 3 levels in a season also
  4. Based on what. Your gut?
  5. Miguel Castro is rocking a 12K/9 in 6 games out of the bullpen for the Rockies
  6. I'd do the JD trade every day. Tulo trade I didn't like, not hindsight, I just expect 1, maybe 2 of the pitchers moved for Tulo to provide a lot of surplus value Price trade was OK, was not impressed with the kid with the van
  7. Well that's certainly not true. Even the Donaldson trade, some (not me) thought Jays gave up too much at the time of the trade.
  8. Expecting screaming right out of the gate as Jose tries to draw a walk
  9. Good, the field general needs to be there.
  10. Interesting that Martin was not part of that group.
  11. If they did, it's because they know the team needs a shakeup
  12. Best lineup I've seen all year
  13. The cupboard is quite barren. It will take a couple of years to restock the farm and a few more years after for it to bear real fruit (Syndergaard type fruit). 4-5 years is actually a bit optimistic for the Jays to have the makings of a WS contender. And no, I haven't been brainwashed.
  14. If Bautista gets moved, Jays would be wise to get 3-4 talented guys in the lower levels (eg. recent international signings) as opposed to 1-2 in the upper levels.
  15. Even if the Jays get to the PS, I have serious doubts about how they stack up against the PS competition. Another month to go before decisions need to be made.
  16. It's either that or .500 ball for the next 20 years
  17. Smoak is fine as a fill-in during the 4-5 year rebuild (retooling isn't an option - Jays have to take the bottom up Cubs approach). And I can see Smoak continuing to improve.
  18. I can see the Jays signing him to an 2 year extension mid season... Smoak will go for it, the security
  19. Promising stats with the caveat most (all?) of these hitters are seeing him for the first time
  20. i wonder which teams Bautista would agree to be trade to.... i doubt seattle is one of them
  21. ^ this Gibby's teams have always been flat out of the gate
  22. it would, gibby has made a number of stupid decisions
