    Perhaps or he only went to Japan to showcase, and get back into MLB. That didn't work, and he probably prefers being in the USA. Money not an issue for him.

    Even with all the pitcher injuries, Bauer is still out there unsigned.

    MLB protecting its marquee player. Petey was already retired so MLB had no plm hitting him with a ban. Bauer and Franco became too toxic as assets. Detrimental to a large segment of the fanbase. $$$$$ is the main criteria for these decisions.

    Alright, a caveat then. He's a 22 yr old college pitcher in A ball, take that into account. He'll be in high A in a few weeks, let's see how that goes.

    They may also have considered better to let him dominate AAA pitching for a few games. Lessen the risk of him pulling a Kelenic and struggle in the toughest jump for a prospect.

    How much of this spate of injuries can be blamed on the advent of Driveline / pitch design? Maximizing velocity and spin wouldn't accelerate the frequency of TJS, would it?

    I suspect a lot of the damage is before a pitcher hits professional ball. A growing kid developing tissues and ligaments shouldn't be throwing 100% like they are today. That doesn't promote healthy arm development / strength.

    This is bad... On Wednesday for Norfolk, Kyle Stowers had three home runs and a double. Heston Kjerstad had five hits with two doubles and two home runs. He had 10 RBIs. Coby Mayo had five hits including a double and a triple. Jackson Holliday went 4-for-6 with five runs scored, two doubles, two walks and two RBIs. Jays should offer up Gausman for Stowers, Kjerstad, and Mayo.
