Will be dropping one more player later (Viloria or Ortiz) to get down to 7 on the milb list, will draft 5 = 12 limit. If I understand it correctly.

    Yes we need a ruling. I had been managing my number of top tier prospects and high value picks with the understanding you could have 14 prospects at the conclusion of the rule 5.

    I thought the cut down was to force some tough decisions, which prospects to keep and make available to everyone else, vs. the unknown of who might be available when its your turn to pick.

    Don't get this from the pg. 1 rules. This screws my strategy. I read it the same way as AG, cut down to 12 before rule 5, 14 after rule 5.
