I haven't said the team is bad. The lineup is bad. Offset by a good pitching staff, the team is realistically a .500 team +/- which means the WC2 is possible.
This is exactly the kind of team the Jays fielded for 20 years after 1994.
We will see where JD lands in terms of overall ranking. Quite a lot of competition out there for top 5.
As I said, pitching staff is good, lineup is s***** = .500 team.
I'm talking about how they compare to their starting or bench peers around the league.
I have Donaldson and Smoak as above average (top 15) relative to other starting 3B and 1B. Martin, Pillar and Travis as maybes.
Donaldson traded at the deadline for Royce Lewis, Twinkies move s*** fielding Sano to 1B
Matt Kemp and Yadier Alvarez traded to the Jays for Harold Ramirez
Vlad moved from 3B to 1B in AA
Smoak (130wRC+) and Happ traded at the deadline to the Yankees for Florial
Jays resign Donaldson in the offseason for 5/125
Jays and Orioles deadlocked for last place in ALE
