    I agree, where roster holes exist. Which is in the pitching department. Maybe an OF, Grandy type.

    That's the kind of thinking that led, in part, to 20 years of .500 ball. The only FA thing the Jays should do is fill roster holes with guys that could potentially be moved at the deadline. Or take on a bad contract or two accompanied by prospects.

    He would solely be for the purpose of flipping at the deadline, I suppose. Not a good reason to sign him. And already have Smoak and Morales for that already, fingers crossed they have a good 1st half.

    My mother was in the hospital with terminal cancer a year ago. The nurses were awesome, and I have a lot of respect for what they do.

    Norm Chouinard (Connecticut): Got my Prospect Handbook Tuesday. One of the best days of the year. If I could somehow force you to do so, how would you rank Vlad Jr, Soto, Ohtani, and Acuna at this point? Kyle Glaser: We ranked Acuna and Ohtani ahead of Vlad Jr. last year and I would still do that today. Soto is interesting to throw into that mix. Behind Acuna and Ohtani, and my first thought is to leave Vlad ahead, but Soto is lefthanded and is better than a 1B/DH long-term. It's interesting. I'm not sure I feel confident on a Vlad Jr. vs Soto answer

    I see Drury as a guy that will start 50 games at 2B, 30 games at 3B, 10 games at 1B, 10 games OF, 10 games DH - something along those lines.

    Set positions are a thing of the past. Drury will likely see time at 2b, 3b, of, 1b, dh. Assuming the bat is somewhat close to 100 wrc+ 3b will not be vlad's alone, we should expect vlad to have a fair number of games at dh
