  1. Your reading comprehension needs work.
  2. Same reason juniorfelix was, to keep things in line around here.
  3. ya i mentioned the circumstances are different anyway, different opinions except spanky, only his opinion matters, everyone else is f***ed
  4. The extension would cover 2 free agent years, to his age 33 season. If it can be agreed upon for a reasonable amount, its a good bet for the Jays to take.
  5. Isn't this the purpose of a baseball discussion board. To debate the value of positional flexibility, for example? It could probably be reasonably calculated, in fact. No it is not pointless, it's a real, valid benefit a player brings to the team. And relevant to a discussion of Espinal. If you aren't up for it, you can go back to sucking dick.
  6. Agreed. Collins, Tapia, Biggio, Zimmer should be bottom 3rd of lineup, until they prove themselves otherwise (and no, none of them have). Everyone else can slot into the top 6.
  7. Not it is not. There is a positional adjustment, that's a separate matter. I am talking about the value to a team when a player can be slotted in to different positions. Zobrist was worth more than his calculated WAR totals due to the benefit to the team of his positional flexibility.
  8. This is NOT like the Goins thread
  9. Like the not so secret George Brett hemorrhoids situation? Yes, could be
  10. Those are estimates, as the "?" indicates. What do you think the additional value of Espinal's positional flexibility is.
  11. That's what I mean. Jays signed LGJ long term before he even played a MLB game - different circumstances I know. Nothing wrong with signing a guy like Espinal to 6/20 or something now, if you believe in the talent. Espinal's floor is pretty solid. This isn't a Grichuk situation.
  12. good god, no i'm not suicidal
  13. That idea flies in the face of the evidence "just looking to make a change" Also I eat lots of burritos, never had a bad one
  14. what arbitrary numbers? there is fangraphs data on there, and then a few estimates +20%? and +10%?. What do you take issue with?
  15. Got to go with your gut, always
  16. Welcome to Team Spooge, Mr. Pujols
  17. I was so dumb once, letting J4L scam me into picking Garrett Pooper 2nd waiver overall
  18. Let's get this thread back to where it was before Spanky derailed it.
