    Not going to happen, Jays don't want to be seen as a pariah just before the playoffs. But they will effectively forfeit game 2 by putting out maybe the worst lineup in Jays history.

    Chappy and Biggio couldn't be more different lol They wear the same uniform. That's about it as far as similarities go.

    It so happens that only 1 team has deliberately forfeited a game, coincidentally the Baltimore Orioles in 1977, against th Blue Jays no less. Time to repay the favour.

    More home runs might just be the result of a dilution of pitcher quality, mainly due to injuries, while the hitters are stronger and generating higher exit velocities. Meanwhile the parks are more or less the same. IMO.

    I kind of doubt St Louis, and most teams, even want Nelson Cruz. In all likelihood he's worse in 2023 than he was in 2022. A bottom feeder will sign him hoping for a dead cat bounce and move him at the deadline.
