    Never heard that As the article says there was a confluence of issues - (1) the Jays were in the process of being sold off by Labatt's, meaning the budget and the room for Gord Ash to negotiate was in flux, (2) Green was a young superstar and very expensive, (3) Green expressed a desire to play on the west coast where he is from. Basically, Ash's hands were tied. Green would have signed if the Jays offered what he ended up getting from LAD.

    4 or 5 days usually you will get a notice each time its your turn to pick its easy

    You can keep guys on your farm there as long as you want. But once you promote to your MLB roster, cannot go back to farm unless the player gets a green flag i.e., demoted by the MLB team. Unowned prospects can only be added to your team through the draft, or at 8 pm 2 days after MLB debut. Players with MLB experience in the free agent pool can be added anytime. This is all covered in Fantrax, under Other > League Rules Summary

    BORED was the first league I joined. Now I'm in 6 leagues. Time commitment is up to you! Some do minimal, for others (Spanky) its a full time job.

    You had two questions. I responded to one. Who knows what the WS knew when they signed him. Maybe they knew, and are simply relying on standard Contract clauses for these things, and maybe the lawyers cooked up some additional non-standard clauses in this case.

    I didn't read anything about a police investigation. In the case of Bauer, there was. SOP for employees under police investigation to go on administrative leave.
