  1. Aaaaand he's now with the Braves as of today.
  2. The Braves are promoting AJ Smith-Shawver pretty aggressively. Started the season dominating High-A and then moved to Double-A. After two starts, of which one was shortened by rain, they've moved him to AAA. He's 20.
  3. Jonah Heim available. He's been very good this year. Looking for picks/prospects in return. Also in need of an ess pee or two.

    Here come the Leafs?
  6. Final line: 8 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 13 K. 31 Swing & Misses. What a baddie.
  7. Faldo is a good call.
  8. My guess would be Fred Couples is the next one they ask to take over as an honourary starter for Jack and/or Gary when they can no longer do it.
  9. Rahm has overtaken Koepka. Brooks hasn't made a birdie since the 8th in Round 3.
  10. Yessir, finished bogey, bogey. Round 3 is underway.
  11. And JT with the 6-over round to miss the cut. These conditions are horrendous this morning.
  12. I've got two P5 entries still alive: 1. Koepka, JT, Hideki, Spieth, Rose 2. Moore, Scheffler, Morikawa, JT, Hovland Thanks to Conners, my third team is officially doing SFA: Cantlay, Lowry, Scheffler, Rahm, Conners. What a rick.
  13. That 4 of 5 is pretty insane. At least 3 of those 5 really can't literally be any better, plus I still feel like Schef finishes strongly from here. Damn, man. So sorry.
  14. Ah, damn. It's honestly shocking to see how badly Rory played this week. It defies an analytical explanation, so it has to be mental at this point, I guess. A lot of self-inflicted pressure to finish off that career Grand Slam, no doubt.
  15. It's that time of year again - another Masters update courtesy of the Chris Vernon Show. The bit about Kevin Na is gold, lol.
  16. And to you, pal.
  17. Tonight is like Christmas Eve to me - absolutely pumped for The Masters. And with the forecasted weather on Friday and Saturday, this week could be pretty wild and unpredictable, and should make for an entertaining finish. I'm backing Thomas, Morikawa, Koepka, Conners, and Rose to win, so my fingers are crossed af that one of the big three (Rory, Rahm, Iron Schef) doesn't win. MASTERS!
  18. I've already taken this boost on Bet365. 2-1 odds to make the cut is too strong not to. I agree with Hurl - odds are good he makes the cut and fades over the weekend.
  19. Canadian Corey Conners is in good position to get his second career win.
  20. Thanks. I'm quite shocked to discover we didn't connect on any deals for an entire season. 2023 is off to a more promising start for Mike's Bikes though, as you and I have already closed two deals this offseason.
  21. Mentally checked out? Yes and no. I suffered from a complete lack of interest in baseball last season, but ended up finding something toward the end of the season. It showed in the complete overhaul of my LoD roster ahead of the trade deadline, but that activity didn't quite translate over to my DDL team as well. For what it's worth, I do recall trying to make a few trades down the stretch, but was always getting outbid by others. There's also the fact that my team isn't exactly flush with trade chips - the farm is mediocre and the roster is stars and scrubs. You would probably be correct in saying that I haven't done a very good job with fringe roster management or restocking the cupboards through the draft. And most people haven't coveted my best prospects, either because my best aren't good enough or because my best have primarily been pitchers for quite a while. Exiting DDL is something I've considered off and on the past couple of years, but haven't yet reached a breaking point. I guess I haven't felt the need to be decisive because I didn't think I was even one of the worst offenders, but as your chart shows, I actually was. The juxtaposition of all of this is that I had regrets about leaving BORED after I did, so want to be certain before leaving. I will give it another go in DDL this season, but if I can't bring myself to give the league the attention it deserves, I will bow out at season's end in favour of an injection of some new blood. I can certainly do better. Hopefully this is agreeable to the league.

  23. Scheffler has now won 6 times in 13 months (or 27 starts). That's a 22.2 win percentage, which is unheard of in this era. During that span, he has also finished runner-up thrice and third-place twice. For good measure, he also has four other top-10 finishes and six more top-20 finishes. That's right, he has finished inside the top 20 in 21 of those 27 starts (almost an 80% clip). When field sizes are usually 132, 144 or 156 players per event, that is pretty f***ing wild. Complete dominance by the Iron Scheff. He did miss two cuts during this run, but it just goes to show you that he's absolutely in it to win it when he makes it to the weekend.
  24. I always forget how wild this tournament is. What an absolute rollercoaster this afternoon has been.
  25. Need Spieth or Hatton to win for a pretty nice little payday, but especially Spieth. Live bet Rory at 4-1 odds, so hopefully one of these three lads gets 'er done.
