Exactly! At least with some of the more egregious contracts in recent memory (Holik, Clarkson, etc.), those players all came off of either immediate or recent good seasons. What the f*** has Dave Bolland EVER done to deserve anything even remotely close to $5/season at 5 (or 8, which he is supposedly demanding) years? If the Leafs sign him to 5/25 or anywhere close to that, I think I might be done with this franchise - at least until Nonis is the f*** out of there. The only other indefensible contract given out recently that I can recall that left me shaking my head was the one given to Ville Leino. And honestly, I'd take Leino over Bolland. I'm sure this can't be the worst contract idea ever, but I'm failing to come up with a proper comparison.

I can't be the only who thinks that 5/25 for Bolland may go down in history as the worst contract ever given to a NHL player, let alone the 5/40 contract he's seeking. Is that a little over-dramatic, or am I about right?

That's more promising. As much as I want Lowry in Toronto, hopefully it doesn't come at a massive overpay.

Once he initially bobbled the ball, did it seem to anyone else as though Cespedes was baiting the runner to come home to try to make it a play at the plate? The manner in which he keeps looking at the runner and the way he sort of gingerly makes his way to the ball, seemed like it was bait to get the out. But maybe I'm giving him way too much credit.

I guess we'll have to assume that he's already graduated Stroman, even though he hasn't crossed that threshold.

I mean, 15 Ks is a decent performance, I guess. But I try not to get bogged down in small sample sizes. It's tough to say.

The Carter home run. I was 8, and watched the game on TV. I do wish I were more able to appreciate what had truly happened in that moment, but I was happy for my Jays, for sure. Watching the video today gives me chills. What a moment. Also, the Brandon Morrow 1-hitter, 17K complete game shutout is one of the best pitching performances of all-time - it scored a 100 game score rating. Another one, although not a Jays moment, is seeing Roy Halladay pitch the no-hitter in his first ever post-season start. I believe that that was only the third ever post-season no-hitter.

I'm not really a contender right now - more middle of the pack. I won this league two seasons ago, and am now pseudo-rebuilding. Lol. Yep, I wish I'd traded for Puig when I had the chance as well.
