  1. Why? Even if he was a by-product of the era he played in, his offensive numbers were off the charts for one of the best league-wide offensive seasons in baseball history.
  2. Giambi won that year. (Erstad should've won though, but eh, different times)
  3. The whole post is a big wat
  4. That was probably one of the most entertaining games Jays game I've ever seen, even if the Jays lost.
  5. Weed isn't a banned substance under MLB rules.
  6. Sorry friend, it's just that sarcasm over the interwebs is always a coin flip.
  7. 16 walks in 6 innings is a disaster, doesn't matter what his BABIP is
  8. Brandon Beachy is the only one I can think of.
  9. Exactly, the stats basically quantifying what your eyes and common sense will say.
  10. Not quite, if you want to average out all possible scenarios when a hitter comes to the plate the WPA added by a walk is 0.0264 compared to 0.0421 to a single, so in total, a walk is 63% as useful as a single, which isn't that insignificant. Of course, context matters, if bases are empty, there's almost no difference (errors aside.) Here are the numbers:
  11. He's still dead. That dastardly GD is posting as Jays4life19. It's sick.
  12. You should just stick with stealing selfies off the internet
  13. So if it is the players' credit if the Jays win the World Series, it's the manager and coaches fault if they lose? Interesting theory....and by interesting, I mean f***ing idiotic.
  14. Holy s***, impressive.
  15. He keeps trying to throw a curveball that he can't control. lol
  16. I wonder what his xFIP is?
  17. This just further reinforces the fact that I have s***** math skills.
  18. His K rate in the first half was a putrid 40.5%, in the 2nd half (according to MiLB.com) his K rate fell off to 28%, which is still worrying. BUT his July K rate was 25%, and if I do some WIlner-ian stat cherry picking before his 4 K game yesterday he was at 25% Ks for August! Yay sample size!
  19. This coming from a guy dooming the Jays in every single post he made? Un-f***ing-real.
  20. I just read this thread after this win and I wish I hadn't. I had an urge to go on a drunken Spanky tirade.
  21. You're still a s***** poster.
