  1. Stay positive dude, we just came off a big sweep. Even if we lose this game the series is still winnable.
  2. Holy f*** are they just going to air Foltynewicz out there to demoralize him?
  3. Foltynewicz body language right now, even on outs. He just doesn't want to be there right now.
  4. Shapiro top tier President.
  5. Got to imagine Dunedin is the perfect place to start and rehab. I imagine they will be back to a High A team next year.
  6. I enjoy these Jomboy breakdowns. I'm not a big Stroman fan but I enjoyed this.
  7. Wow great news, so glad the Jays are coming home! In other news as we still search for competitive bullpen arms Joel Payamps has been DFA.
  8. I imagine they are back with the team today and undergoing testing. MLB said they were testing during All-star weekend and nobody tested positive so this may of happened elsewhere. Not going to lie though we are pretty f***ed if our 4 most productive hitters vanish for 2 weeks.
  9. Damn that is news that we didn't need to hear before the feds make their decision.
  10. If this is Ontario's target to get 1st dose at 85% and second dose at 75% for the next step, I don't see too much of an issue letting teams through the border. But I would prefer that as an exemption to baseball cause the rest of the US is doing a s***** job at getting vaccines and after July 4th weekends their numbers are tripling.
  11. We'll see. I'm really interested to see if the Padres can sign Gage Jump and Chase Burns, they took like 8 college seniors so they might have the money.
  12. Luke Holman (BA Rank: 204 ) Wilson HS, West Lawn, Pa.RHP Notes: Ht: 6-4 | Wt: 190 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Alabama Age At Draft: 18.5 Craig Holman was a righthander in the Phillies farm system from 1991-98 who reached Triple-A. His son, Luke, has emerged as one of the top 2021 pitchers in Pennsylvania. Holman's fastball is about the same as it was last fall, sitting at 89-92 mph and up to 93. Holman has a tall, rangy form with more space to fill out and add velocity. He throws from a high slot that allows his fastball and curveball to play well off of each other. Holman throws his 75-78 mph curveball with tight rotation and it flashes as a plus pitch with good depth. Holman has a changeup but it's more of a distant third pitch he hasn't needed to use much yet. Scouts more skeptical of Holman have seen inconsistent strike throwing, with a wrap in the back of his arm action and a short stride out front, but those highest on him have seen more strikes and point to his athleticism (he's a 55 runner on the 20-80 scale) that should help him repeat his mechanics and make adjustments. Holman is an Alabama commit, but several scouts consider him likely to sign, so that signability could help boost him up higher in the draft than where he's ranked here.
  13. Hayden Juenger Missouri StateRHP Notes: Ht: 6-0 | Wt: 180 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted Age At Draft: 20.9 RapScore: 52 The 6-foot, 180-pound righthander was the closer for Missouri State this season, getting into 16 games, throwing 21 innings, walking six and striking out 31 batters. His fastball was 94-98 mph, to go along with an average slider and an average changeup. He gave up five of his nine earned runs in the first two weeks of the season, with a small sample of outings inflating his numbers, but he was lights out down the stretch.
  14. Irving Carter Calvary Christian HS, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.RHP Notes: Ht: 6-4 | Wt: 200 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Miami Age At Draft: 18.8 BA Grade: 50 | Risk: Extreme Fastball: 55 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 45 | Control: 40 There’s a good chance that Carter is the best No. 2 high school arm in the country as the teammate of fellow 2021 righthander Andrew Painter. While Carter might benefit from being on the same team as Painter in terms of scouting eyeballs, he’s a talented prospect in his own right with a three-pitch mix, super projectable frame and athleticism that give him exciting upside. Carter throws a fastball that sits in the low 90s and gets up into the 95 mph range at its best, with good downhill angle out of a high, three-quarter arm slot. After throwing more of a traditional 12-to-6 curveball earlier in his prep career, Carter transitioned to a slider last summer, and the pitch has shown plus potential with power and two-plane break in the mid-to-upper 80s with spin rates in the 2500 rpm range. He’ll need to improve the consistency of the pitch, as he’ll get around the ball at times, but it has real out-pitch potential. Carter also throws a mid-80s changeup with good arm speed, though he’ll bury the pitch in the dirt fairly regularly. Carter has the athleticism and starter frame that teams are looking for, but he’ll need to refine his strike throwing and potentially clean up his delivery to avoid a bullpen projection. There’s plenty of effort in the delivery and he has length in his arm stroke with stabbing action in the back that could create issues with timing and repeating his breaking ball. Coaches and scouts alike do love his mentality and demeanor on the mound, however. Carter is a Miami commit.
