    How is it a lateral move? We're talking $1MM option for 2020 where we can have 6 years of a potential 5th starter/Pen arm? I don't see how Phelps helps us in 2020.

    Not a bad trade, he'll provide some innings or be a Gaviglio pen type. This is kind of what I expected from a Phelps trade. He did have a friendly $1MM club option next year too.

    Medicals are always done and all information is always exchanged. I don't think it's that big of a deal if he doesn't get dealt at the deadline. Also don't think teams are backing away, seems more teams are shifting now to relief help cause they don't want to pay the SP price.

    Kloff's line looks better than his day actually went. Almost half his pitches were balls. Hopefully after the deadline we see a slew of promotions including Stevenson, Kirk, Wall, Espinal, Large, etc.
