  1. Just to add to all the celebrations, the Jays bullpen has the lowest ERA ever for a month so far in June. The record is held by Orioles for giving up 6 runs over 70.1 innings in 1965. Jays on pace to beat it with 4 runs over 55.2 innings (0.65 ERA!) Whole article is here: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/jays-notebook-bullpen-among-mlbs-stingiest/
  2. For what it's worth, Kawasaki has a 1.1 WAR... he could be a 3 WAR player over the course of a year. Meanwhile, Bonifacio has never had a 3 WAR season and is sitting on a -0.4 WAR for the season. Izturis is sitting on a -0.6 WAR. It's hard to see those two guys stay and Kawasaki go down. I know he has options, but you want to keep the best players on the team. He has been better than those two.
  3. Though I don't agree with a lot of what you have posted, I do believe he could of helped to bridge a possible gap between the Dominicans in the clubhouse and the rest of the team (if there was one to begin with). Or at least bring the team closer together as a whole.
  4. I'm still loving the replay of Buerhle pushing Kawasaki out of the dugout for the curtain call. What a game.
  5. You have to believe that if he comes up with a man on, he's going to drive him in. It's just the way his night is going.
  6. I am witness!!! I am witness!! I saw it!!! It happened!
  7. Damnit, Flaherty doesn't even try to move because he knows that's the only way he's getting on base.
  8. It would be nice if we could keep getting him up to bat with no one on.
  9. Buddha tummy, rabbit's foot, a horseshoe... even a Dickey Bobblehead. Whatever brings the magic tonight. Hell, I'll even take up religion if it helps them win.
  10. I'm with you guys. In the big scheme of things, this is just one game. But at the same time, a win could add a lot to our momentum and a loss takes some wind out of our sails. Would love to see this win streak continue for another 3 games at least. It's a lot to hope for, but the pitching has been good.
