A closer in his best year with 2 and half seasons of control left and on a team friendly contract? Sure, but I'm afraid to ask what we would have to give up. Is it fair to say that the Pirates would be looking at one of Groshans or Kirk as a return?
Agreed with you that you could acceptably take those players, but you would really just want to sit on Vlad at this point with control over him to see what he could do. Soto could be arguable but even then, we haven’t seen the full potential of Vlad and we know there’s tonnes
Atlanta comes to mind; Soroka, Anderson, Fried, Wright, Wentz, Gohara, Toussaint, Muller, Allard
Might be holding out too much hope on plying one of them away.
Watching this game in Seoul this morning.
On a side note, I hope the jays sign a Korean player this offseason. The MLB stores here barely carry any Jays gear and what they do have is snatched up pretty quick. They tend to have more hats/shirts of teams with Korean players, which makes sense for them.
Regardless of Pompey's FV, he would still look a lot nicer in LF than Carerra or Colabello at the moment. That being said, I don't mind if he is traded for a pitching upgrade.
