    I'm more enthusiastic about our chances in 2017 than most We still have 4/5 starters coming back making only about 30M combined, a cost controlled MVP, a cheap GG CF, and massive attendance that MIGHT allow us to afford to keep Bautista or Encarnacion and add a SP. Yes, Martin and Tulo will have some years later on that are ugly compared to $. But I believe this team's window isn't necessarily over after 2016 the way many do.

    Conveniently we don't need much With Bautista and Tulo back the lineup and bench are good One more solid BP arm might be all I'd target Mostly we just need to keep fingers crossed that the starters stay healthy and that Tulo and Martin keep hitting.

    Damn. He really has gotten the shaft. In part because giving it to others for a better story or playoff team or whatever. Not his fault he's playing for a team that doesn't get noticed.

    Trout is so consistently excellent However, has he ever been THE BEST hitter in the AL? I'd like to look it up but can't right now. I'm guessing Cabrera and Donaldson had better wRC+ (and know they had more HR/RBI of course FWIW) in their MVP vs Trout years. Voters often favour the best hitter over the best all around player.
