  1. Hitting leadoff Per Sportsnet
  2. As long as we can keep Hutch as a AAAA depth piece, great His trade value is negligible I'm sure Does he have another option left for next year or was this year it?
  3. It could be why the deal isn't quite official yet
  4. Yes. Can tell the Yankees trade is contingent on him agreeing to an extension. Just like AA did with the Mets as you said Hmmmm.... FU RA Dickey for agreeing to the extension. Lmao.
  5. No rules against it that I've ever heard You just don't ever see it
  6. Yankees are probably willing to punt one more year in 2017 if they have to. Fans won't like it but with more shrewd moves they could be in annoyingly good shape by 2018/2019. Farm getting stronger, and lots of dead $ coming off the books just as big impact free agents come available.
  7. If this is the package in a done deal, how much better is it than the package the Yankees sent to Cinci to get him in the first place? (Or is it for sure)
  8. Yeah. They can coast to a division championship. With all the off days in the post season he's very valuable there obviously.
  9. What a massive profit move by Cashman though flipping him f***
  10. It's almost like they don't realize that have a core that will have them in contention for years to come
  11. I can't imagine giving up a package like that without an extension
  12. MLBTR: Yankees, Cubs Nearing Aroldis Chapman Trade July 25th, 2016 at 8:48am CST • By Mark Polishuk 8:48am: Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports (links to Twitter) that the Cubs would send four players to the Yankees in the deal. In addition to Torres, former Yankees right-hander Adam Warren would likely return to New York. Candelario, according to Sherman, is not in the deal. The trade has the approval of Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner, Sherman notes. Rosenthal tweets that the trade is in its final stages, and the players have been agreed upon. 8:32am: Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports tweets that if the deal is completed, there will be “much more” than just Torres and another prospect in the deal. 8:19am: Jorge Soler will not be included in this trade, reports Jon Morosi of MLB.com (on Twitter). George A. King III of the New York Post reports that switch-hitting third baseman Jeimer Candelario could be in play, however. JULY 25, 7:30am: The Cubs and Yankees are on the verge of agreeing to the deal, reports USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, citing a high-ranking but anonymous Cubs official. The deal would send Torres and one other prospect, per Nightengale.
  13. Discuss. Thread worthy.
  14. Um, Josh Johnson?
  15. We're taking care of business No one helping us out at all
  16. Betts and Ortiz both out today Orioles vs Kluber Fingers crossed
  17. So much for Storen, Osuna and Cecil being a poor man's Bettances Miller and Chapman. They weren't even a homeless man's Bettances Miller and Chapman.
  18. Easily the biggest disappointment of 2016 for this team f***
  19. Per Sportsnet Finally
  20. Which is fine. As long as he has options he's useful 1B depth. Nothing more nothing less.
