    He does seem like the kind of guy who would take a 1 year deal hoping to have a good year and cash in after that, rather than accept a mediocre 3 year deal now. Even though the latter MIGHT be smarter financially.

    I like him too I want him back on a 1 year deal badly. I just don't want the team to give him a stupid loyalty type contract. And I'm confident that Shapiro and Atkins won't.

    How many Cy Youngs did Mariano Rivera win? Edit: I am not REMOTELY suggesting Britton is in the same echelon Edit: Zero. Rivera was top 5 in 5 seasons but never won. (had to look it up)
