  3. Mlbtr: After spending parts of 13 seasons in the Major Leagues, veteran right-hander Jordan Zimmermann has announced his retirement, via a statement released by the Brewers
  4. They would pay only a pro rated league minimum Jays pay the rest. So they would save less than 500k unfortunately.
  5. Jared Walsh now the full time 1B in LA To celebrate he went 4-4 with a walk last night Now hitting .325/.405/.544 with a .405 wOBA
  6. There was a really interesting interview on MLB Network with Theo Epstein about this. Going to see if I can find a link for it online
  7. You can't except in the off topic forum I don't know why
  8. Matt Harvey has been announced as the starter for the Orioles when they play the Mets in New York on Wednesday Fire up the eating popcorn gifs now
  9. Are the Red Sox for real? I thought they were at most the 3rd best team and more likely the 4th best team in the division. Seems like the Yankees (who I thought would win the division) are finding their way but still the Red Sox have just been hitting so well it's crazy. Can they keep it up?
  10. DeRosa was definitely the better "glue guy" If such things matter at all and they probably don't
  11. Depends what you want to see. A balance would be nice. I like strikeouts and watching an amazing pitching performance, but I like watching good hitters do well too When you have numbers like those and multiple no hitters a week it's clearly too much in favour of the pitching
  12. Theo Epstein next?
  13. They don't If anything the Mets are worse
  14. A decade long peak as good as those two gets you into the Hall of Fame. But yeah, the tail end of both careers wasn't great
  15. MAY 10: In what’ll surely be a sigh of relief for Mets’ fans, it seems deGrom’s MRI revealed no serious issues. Jon Morosi of MLB Network (Twitter link) reports New York is optimistic he won’t require an extended absence, although his next scheduled start may be pushed back. The Mets have off days today and Thursday, so they needn’t rearrange the rotation much to give deGrom an extra few days to recover. Morosi adds that a short-term IL stint remains a possibility, but it seems deGrom has avoided any especially worrisome injury.
  16. His story has been written Praise be to you
  17. They can feel free to keep him down until after our 4 game series against the Rays next weekend...
  18. Hader is so ridiculously good
  19. I'd like to trade for him at the deadline this year if the Nats are out
  20. One of the coolest I've seen in while How can you possibly tell what's coming
  21. Consensus is it's mental and not physical? Hopefully Pete Walker can work some magic. Remind him that his stuff is good enough to get major leaguers out and he can attack them and throw strikes...
  22. So..... Pearson is just broken I guess???
  23. Huge huge huge to have Pearson back if he's healthy [Knocks on wood]
