  1. That's a crazy good deal Hopefully get a few more people hooked on the team
  2. I want to keep all of those guys and see how it goes If 2B is a problem mid seeson then see what the deals look like BTW is Biggio playing soon?
  3. MLB Network has declared the best lineups in each league are AL - TOR NL - LAD
  4. OMG yes Does he still have a shot at the rotation or does the org see him as a reliever now? His pedigree as a prospect prob means they try him as a SP again does it not?
  5. Gonna tear up AA and bang on the door next year
  6. Heck yeah DH vs LHP in particular (against whom his OPS+ is 40 points better so far in his short career)
  7. SI.com: Story has an an opt-out after four years. The Red Sox can keep him for a seventh season, which would make the contract $160 million over the seven years. Sportrac: https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/boston-red-sox/trevor-story-18377/ Trevor Story signed a 6 year / $140,000,000 contract with the Boston Red Sox, including $140,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $23,333,333. Player opt-out available after 2025 ($5M buyout) If Story opts-out, the team can opt back in, adding a 7th year (2028) Joel Sherman: @Joelsherman1 Trevor Story’s contract does not contain no trade provisions #RedSox
  8. Does he have a real chance of making it as a major league reliever?
  9. Ah he's not on the 40 Anyway hopefully he tears up AA this year and forces the issue sooner than later
  10. I just meant with September expanded roster to get a look Even that might not be realistic. 2023 seems more plausible.
  11. King Julian for the girls mon Would LOVE to see him come back full force Pearson/Merryweather/Romano yes yes yes
  12. Yeah I've started fapping to him already Callup this fall possible??
  13. Agreed Wish he had gone to SFG
  14. Sox IF better defense by 10% Jays IF better offense by 15-20% So Jays IF for sure
  15. He seemed quite unhappy there the last year or so. He wanted out.
  16. His hitting has improved every year since he was called up. Hard to know what his ceiling is or if he passed it last year. His defense I thought always looked good but somehow he had negative defensive value last year. What gives with that? Pretty much all of his WAR came from hitting and baserunning.
  17. Yeah never happen of course Orioles always keep players much longer than they should too
  18. I'd kill to get Cedric Mullins
  19. And they wanted Semien to take 1 year 18 but with most of it deferred over 10 years or something stupid
  20. Can't blame Chapman and Semien for turning down what the A's were offering that year...
  21. Matt Chapman Rejected 10-Year, $150MM Offer After 2019 Season March 19th, 2022 at 3:16pm CST • By TC Zencka Before hip surgery knocked Matt Chapman out of the 2020 playoffs, the A’s had offered their superstar third baseman a 10-year extension worth $150MM, writes The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal. After the hip injury, rejecting that offer was a decision that caused some second-guessing on Chapman’s part. Some two years after Oakland attempted to extend Chapman, the offer exists only as a comparative tool.
