    All the talk on MLB radio is: - Charlie might be the nicest guy in MLB but not the best manager for all player types - the decision had been made weeks ago to fire him - decision cemented after bad road trip - probably wanted to do it on the Monday off day but death affecting the coaching staff family made it distasteful to do it then - didn't want to wait until Allstar break in case they went on a 6 game winning streak and would make them look stupid for firing him after that

    Yeah that was dumb Also jjst seeing for the first time Vladdy clearly knew better than anyone that he missed it. Appreciate him owning it and not wanting them to waste a challenge. They won the game but sounds like it could have cost them with missed challenge opportunities.
