  1. Oddly I thought we were done making moves but now with this move I feel like now there are now going to more moves
  2. Phillies have assembled a very good looking bullpen
  3. That's pretty much like having Ohtani and Trout I suppose and can't even make the playoffs
  4. Couldn't win with Ken Griffey Jr and Randy Johnson on the team at the same time Pfffft. They suck.
  5. Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports the Tigers are acquiring Nick Maton, Matt Vierling and Donny Sands from the Phillies in exchange for Gregory Soto and Kody Clemens.
  6. Dodgers probably offered to pay bulk of his salary to trade him with no takers
  7. Carlos Correa’s camp in contact with at least one other team after Mets talks hit hiccup By Jon Heyman and Greg Joyce January 5, 2023 7:14pm Updated https://nypost.com/2023/01/05/carlos-correa-in-contact-with-another-team-after-mets-hiccup/?utm_source=NYPSportsTwitter&utm_medium=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=SocialFlow&sr_share=twitter
  8. 100% Fanbase would have fully revolted
  9. So pumped for the season to start
  10. Didn't they fix it a few years ago? I remember Brett Lawrie being brought up as an example of someone inappropriately affected by UZR because he was deployed in shallow RF so much and his range was nuts
  11. Seriously though what is up with Correa and the Mets
  12. November: Pete Rose apologizes for betting on baseball during his managerial career and asks for forgiveness and reconsideration for Hall of Fame eligibility as a player https://www.ohbets.com/pete-rose-asks-mlb-forgiveness/ January: Pete Rose is involved in a publicity stunt as he puts down the first ever legal sports be in Ohio... by betting on the Reds to win the World Series https://nypost.com/2023/01/02/pete-rose-recipient-of-lifetime-mlb-ban-for-betting-places-first-legal-sports-bet-in-ohio/ - Perfectly legal of course, but the optics of this just aren't great. Doesn't really ever help his own case very much does he... sigh
  13. Still likely an everydsy MLB outfielder - Funny comment on the article: Another one for Farhan to prepare to miss out on
  14. Wow this guy sounds legit. KBO’s Kiwoom Heroes To Post Lee Jung-hoo After 2023 Season https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/01/kbos-kiwoom-heroes-to-post-lee-jung-hoo-after-2023-season.html
  15. Zero risk High potential reward Yes
  16. I'm not sure any GM could have locked of Vlad and Bo on any sort of discount
  17. True Helps the Yankees and Rays too though
  18. Planning on SP 5 being Kikuchi (or White if Kikuchi sucks) is manageable if the other 4 stay healthy and if Berrios pitches well Obviously, if Berrios sucks or is one of the top 4 gets injured it looks a lot less pretty real fast
  19. Looked a few notables up as I was curious Russell Martin hit 20M in the contract he signed at age 31 https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/los-angeles-dodgers/russell-martin-477/#:~:text=Current%20Contract,annual%20average%20salary%20of%20%2416%2C400%2C000. Posey eventually was making 21.4 but he signed in his late 20's Realmuto has the highest paid years (23.85M) for a catcher in his deal he signed AT age 30 https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/philadelphia-phillies/jt-realmuto-16097/#:~:text=Current%20Contract-,J.T.,a%20total%20salary%20of%20%2423%2C875%2C000.
  20. Not for normal users - "brands and advertisers that want to remain verified on Twitter will need to pay $8 monthly to keep their blue badges" https://www.inc.com/minda-zetlin/twitter-paywall-elon-musk-david-sacks.html
  21. The Rangers have made another rotation addition. They’re reportedly in agreement with Nathan Eovaldi on a two-year deal with a vesting/player option for the 2025 campaign. The ACES client will be paid $16MM salaries in each of the next two seasons with at least a $2MM buyout on the option. The option — which is valued at $20MM — would kick in as a player option if Eovaldi throws 300 combined innings from 2023-24. The contract, which could max out at $63MM over three seasons if Eovaldi reaches all his innings-based incentives, is pending a physical.
  22. They still have depth in the rotation It's fine.... It's fine!
