  1. Yeah, Gurriel is gone I'm sure
  2. Yeah. Tucker is a better hitter than Pena.
  3. I don't see them keeping Pena is the two spot with Abreu there but who knows No matter what it's an excellent lineup
  4. Top of lineup Jose Altuve Jose Abreu Yordan Alvarez Alex Bregman
  5. I dunno I keep refreshing Twitter but all I'm seeing is Elon Musk ranting about Apple and posting pictures of the gun on his nightstand
  6. Jerry Dipoto says he engaged the Jays front office right after the lockout this spring about trading for Teoscar then. Says they "came up short" with what the Jays were looking for in return. Still wanted him so tried again in the off season.
  7. Osuna playing in Japan this year
  8. Didn't hurt Judge But he doesn't hit many wall scrapers...
  9. It certainly smart to just bite the bullet and get it done now rather than risk blowing it out in the spring
  10. How many position players have had TJS? I can only recall a handful, including Didi Gregorious. No way they have Harper throwing from the OF in May but he might be able to DH? Man he's been so good but also seems high risk for breaking down badly
  11. It doesn't help than Rendon only plays 50 games a year
  12. Happy to have Bellinger on a short deal (what he wants) as long as the team recognizes you have to have solid offense from elsewhere. If he hits better than theast few years it's a bonus but you sure can't count on it. OF defense with Bellinger in center and Springer in right would be a big improvement over 2022. Sorry Teo.
  13. Cause he probably gets to be there during mostly just the best years that Harper, Realmuto, Wheeler and Castellanos provide
  14. Phillies fluke WS appearance got Dave Dombrowski a contract extension through 2027
  15. 29 teams did Only the Orioles decided not to
  16. Grichuk negative 0.2 WAR this season Rockies played him in 141 games Yikes
  17. Dodgers have trimmed their current committed 2023 payroll to 152M Luxury tax 170M
  18. Had some good teams. Could never quite get the A's to the WS though.
  19. And he just can't seem to stay healthy enough to play more than 120 or so games on defense anyway. So when he's on the IL or being used as DH you really need someone who can step in and play center even if you're going to TRY to keep Springer as your primary CF for a while longer.
  20. Decent reclamation project for a non contender But no serious contender can afford to let him hit full time
  21. MLBTR Perhaps the most significant decision any team faces due to today’s deadline is that of the Dodgers on former MVP Cody Bellinger. Just a few years ago, he was widely considered one of the sport’s brightest stars, but back-to-back disastrous seasons at the plate, combined with Bellinger’s projected $18.1MM salary for 2023, could give the Dodgers pause about retaining him for next season. Bellinger still has value as a plus baserunner and excellent glove in the field, but his .193/.256/.355 slash line since the start of the 2021 season inspires little confidence in his bat going forward. As one of the game’s financial powerhouses, the Dodgers could conceivably be more comfortable taking a risk of this nature than most teams; a one-year, $18.1MM contract would not be quite as painful for them as it would be for others should Bellinger struggle again in 2023. If the Dodgers ultimately do non-tender Bellinger, his free agency will be a fascinating one to follow, as he would join a thin center field market behind top option Brandon Nimmo.
  22. I like that they've made a head start
