  1. I also don't remember there being a ton of hype for him, he's been a breath of fresh air from the farm for sure (injury notwithstanding obviously)
  2. On a related note, admin ran an IP check for duplicate accounts. It was worthless. Not a single bad poster was found to have multiple accounts accessed from the same IP address. At the same time, MANY legit good posters were found to be sharing IP addresses with other legit good posters. With the way IP addresses are handled by providers these days, and with how people often access the board via smartphone from all over the place, IP checks are RARELY helpful
  3. It is ONE of the issues That's why admin started this thread, and why I have reminded people with this update Yes, some of the hard core long-term forum regulars are hard on new members sometimes. We are just asking them to be patient with new people. In-fighting and bickering among long-term regulars, and annoying posters who keep coming back with new identities when they get banned are other issues.
  4. Re opened to remind people Traffic is way up. Dozens of new posters. Over 300 logged in during the last few games. Times are good. Give the new people a chance to settle in. Say hi. Don't jump on them if they don't know the board "etiquette" (or lack thereof) and don't make fun of brand new people.for saying something about baseball that might be wrong. Give them a chance. Politely correct people. We want them to stay. They'll figure out shown the place works. That's all we ask. Cheers everyone. Go Jays!
  5. So many reasons to pick any given guy Hutch - fantastic comeback from TJS Buerhle - Career year so far, outperforming even any outlandish expectations Edwin - Records set and smashed what a month Bautista - Have never seen him so focused and determined and beastly and selfless all at the same time Seitzer - may deserve some credit Janssen - saved the bullpen's ass Melky - we finally got the real Melky this year. He's a hit producing machine Lind - so confident and steady now. Plus beard.
  6. If this team goes far this year, there seem to be a ton of good stories along the way.
  7. It really is hard to pick just one. That's a good thing.
  8. That first graph is my favorite thing so far this year
  9. Casey Janssen The rest of the bullpen was freaking me out. He came back and calmed everything right down. Thanks Casey. Runner up: Jose Bautista
  10. You can only pick one It can be for any reason Be brief - 1 short paragraph on why (List a runner up if you must)
  11. They're the only team I'm really no longer worried about. This year.
  12. Perfect bunt single, bases loaded with Indians!!! Suck it Farrell
  13. Kipnis ribbye. Tie game. Still nobody out.
  14. Cleveland with runners at corners and nobody out. Go go Cleveland!
  15. And not enough BY him ifyouknowwhatimsayin...
  16. Yep. Wrong. And Casey's probably average, not ugly. The concept is fricking hilarious though. And the doodles. Well done.
  17. Yep Oh well, we just have to keep winning!
  18. Same here Plus driving to Halifax with the wife. Can listen to game in car. Howarth "There she goes!"
  19. It's such a crapshoot. It sounds so funny that you might pass over McCutchen for Matt f***ing Torra, but s*** like that happens every year. You just can't tell with these guys half the time.
  20. Not counting any chickens but... Fangraphs says 71.4% chance Jays win the division
