  1. They were unpredictable, which is good. Admittedly I'm going more off the kind of swings and takes the batters had rather than what the ball did.
  2. Lots of pitches, but it looks Dickey has a pretty good knuckleball today.
  3. I think Lawrie has better range and slightly better reaction time. Arm strength is probably about equal, with Machado a little more accurate. Machado is way WAY smoother.
  4. Apparently it was a double play ball
  5. Sounds like he may have been pulled because he didn't run out a ground ball. Great way to build trade value ...
  6. No no, we need to encourage him to keep being an idiot towards the mods. Then we can get rid of him permanently.
  7. Those last two intentional balls were 91mph! Easy velocity.
  8. That 2nd pitch from McGowan was NASTY. Looking at the movement I thought it was some kind of change or splitter, but was 96mph.
  9. None of the Jays home runs have been cheap ones off Price either. The Rays wanted to see how Price looked now against good hitters in Bautista and EE. I'd say they got their answer.
  10. He looks fairly relaxed, and trusting his stuff. Not trying to be too fine. Smoother delivery than I can recall seeing from him.
  11. Just leave that ump and Maddon standing there and start the game again lol. They can argue for the next 10 minutes if they like.
  12. I don't mind the depth (although he may have been a little too deep on that one). We'll have to wait and see if teams can exploit it though.
  13. Rajai really seems to have improved his throwing this year. I still don't completely trust his arm out there, but it isn't the gong show it was.
  14. By change of scenery I meant he needs to be sent packing. I actually think he does have the ability to be a top 10 catcher, but seems to lack the understanding of what one IS.
  15. I've been one of the few that hasn't been bashing the hell out of JPA on here, but those comments and actions are absolutely ridiculous. He needs a change of scenery.
  16. Why on earth would Lyon do that? He knows how stacked we are with relievers, so why would he block himself knowing there was almost zero chance of getting called back up?
  17. In fairness, this it the kind of lefty he should be sitting against imo.
  18. In fact he just entered the game
  19. This seemed somehow appropriate: http://www.gocomics.com/nonsequitur/2013/07/18
  20. The stat is a terrible one (has similar flaws to things like batting average). I think the issue people have is more WHAT we're swinging at and fouling off.
  21. A lot of the injuries seem to be stuff he only missed a few games for. Some guys can play through them, some have the sense to get it taken care of so it doesn't linger. Reyes injury was clearly a fluke this time. If he had strained his hamstring or something, then it might be more valid to say that the injuries are correlated (imo). Regardless I'd happily take an elite guy who plays all out and misses 20 or 30 games a year as opposed to someone who never gives full effort and stays healthy.
