    Interesting, apparently in the playoffs the refs are graded every game, and just like teams move on, the best rated refs also move on.

    I don't think that's the case. When Goins first came up he made a bunch of really slick defensive plays, and people remember that. Same with Johnny Mac. They made watching defense fun. Once you get that perception into your head, it tends to stick even if it's no longer true.

    To be fair, 11 of their 14 games have come against the Rays, Marlins, and O's.

    Stroman went from walking everyone to leaving everything in the middle of the plate. I think I'd prefer the former.

    Steamer has him projected at 101 wRC+. I don't think I've ever seen a projection that high for someone who's played 7 games above A ball.

    We'll put it this way on Vladdy: He just turned 19 a month ago, he's played 7 games above A ball, and Steamer is projecting him to be slightly above average if he were to get called up tomorrow . That's basically completely unheard of.

    I'll second this, it really is something to see on TV or in person. Probably 75% of the stadium in Seattle is filled with Jays fans. Very unique.
