Verlander over Cole for Cy. Everyone had them 1-2 so really little between them but I have to think that this one came down to one being more unlikable than the other. It's not the most egregious decision but mlb.com voters were 6-2 for Verlander, including both of Houston's votes.

They have 13 full time lawyers on staff (including the director they hired away from the NHL). The idea of hiring Clark (who was rumoured to have enrolled in Law School at the time of his hiring) was that he'd be more of a face. This is where he has failed. He never talks about the initiatives (has anyone even heard of the MLBPI? They have 3 people who's entire job is video games...and yet MLB The Show has done nothing to help the game), he's failed at helping to grow the international game (The world baseball classic is probably his biggest failure). And Marketing the players which he's done a good job of saying the MLB has done a terrible job of...even though it's really their job. He has hired a lot of his buddies though.

Nope Final rosters had to be in by October 3rd and for this tourney you have to be National of the country you are representing so Freeman would not be eligible. Not sure Soroka and Freeman would make that much of a difference against South Korea anyway. Making the top 6 is $70k extra to Baseball Canada.
