Back to our conversation about the value of the TV contract. The CFL just re-upped with for $50M a year. CFL average viewership is a right around that of an average Jays season. CFL contract is for 95 games, whereas the Jays is something like 190. Then there are the obvious differences, (Demographics, CFL audience is more spread out, whereas the Jays audience is 65% Ontario...specific days of the week vs everyday of the week) but I think you could safely say that the Jays TV contract is worth about $75M+ a year.

Top Rule 5 picks IMO: Thomas Burrows LHR - Atlanta has thrown millions at their pen. They didn't have room for Loogy. He'll be a good one though Cody Sedlock RHP - Former 1st rounder that was once considered a top spect. Edward Bazardo RHR - Another guy who has been a reliever in the minors. One of the best sliders in the minors. Mariel Bautista CF - Reds were slow moving him up and he was disappointing in his first year of full ball. He's not getting selected but one to watch this year. Ronnie Dawson CF - Would be the best defensive CF Jays would have. He just can't hit. But a LHH CF with power potential and can draw a walk. Zack Brown RHP - Every time he looks good...he kills the boner Wander Javier SS - So much talent. Probably not a fit for the Jays but someone should stash him. Griffin Jax RHP - Never know what to make of the great command no swing and miss stuff. No longer has the military commitment. Franklin Labour OF - Again not a fit for the Jays. Just a guy I really like. LJay Newsome RHP - Great control. Best fit for the Jays on this list. Steven Fuentes RHP - Just 22. Was incredible out of the pen in HiA. Then okay as a starter at AA. Pen is his future.

If the Jays would like middle infield version of Elvis in this years Rule 5...Wander Javier is your guy. Was a top 100 prospect as an 18 year old in the Appy. Then lost all of 2018 to a torn labrum. Didn't hit in his return last year.

I think they need to clear 3 more spots still. Whether it is a reliever or a back up player there is value to be had

I love how every time a relatively young team struggles there is an immediate call for veteran presence. This is pretty much the same team that had 100 points last year. This team is young. They will have a s***** run (it might be all season long). It doesn't mean that you have to tear it down. Just enjoy watching the Islanders, Canes, Sabres and Panthers. They are also good young teams and probably will drive you a little less crazy.

OF of Trout, Bonds, Ichiro leaves out Beltran and I don't want to do that. McCann, Martin, Mauer or Molina at C. None of this includes more recent guys who deserve to be part of the conversation. Pitching for me is easier. Doc, Scherzer, Verlander, Kershaw and Greinke. Leaving CC out cause I'm racist...well more like he's just had so many more innings than everyone. He's my ironman but not my starter. Also leaving out King Felix cause you got to still be able to pitch into your 30s for my team. My bullpen is Mariano and no one else.
