Buffalo spot Romero a 2-0 lead on a Luis Jimenez (Beeg Mon jr) 2 run homer
Billy Hamilton led off with a single. Romero got a soft grounder from Rodriguez. First pitch (ball) and Hamilton took off safely to third. He then scored on a wild pitch. Romero proceeded to walk Perez on 4 pitches. Now caught up. I'll actually be able to watch closely.
He needs to be stretched out or made into a reliever, he's old for his level but he's also has way less pitching on his arm. I don't know if that program helps with getting a pitcher to go deeper into games. He seems to start games well but only in his debut this year did he make it out of the 6th
I just wish Yahoo would react to discussions of people being called up rather than additions to the roster. Smith was announced on Monday and I refreshed at 3:00 am each day as they added new players. I'm not giving up the number 2 priority for him though. Although I don't even know the rules on Waiver priority, does it even effect next year's waiver draft?
There is a lesson to be learned in the Shelby Miller case, I'm not sure what that lesson is yet but there is one. I almost feel like the Cards told him to lower the velocity last year to get everyone off the bandwagon. He's averaging over 93 and throwing (in a SSS) better than he did in any year in the minors.
