  1. Nolin says "f*** you"
  2. My f***ing Milone Management costing me a stat. Didn't play him earlier as I have the "no Milone on the road rule" I looked safe in the ratio stats and needed K's so I play him today and he costs me OPBA (by the tiniest of points). Turns out I shouldn't need his 4 k's
  3. Only his second outing of the year (lasted just 3 and a third in the first). Isn't on the 40 man yet, I'd think that he's a later in the year addittion
  4. Pretty obvious now that Carreno is a reliever and should stay there. I still thought he looked awful in the Trenton game.
  5. MVP - Tough not to go with Wainwright and his 13.75 K/BB ratio but Segura has been Mr. Everything on my offense. I'm so glad I wanted a huge deal early (top 10 guys) or I probably would have moved Segura in April. Longoria has been everything I asked as well LVP - BJ Upton...I don't think anyone could match this one. Oddly enough I still like him a bit and he won't hit my bench until he hits Atlanta's bench
  6. Spent the day with my Mom (although she'd probably rather being watching the Jays, my Sister and her granddaughter don't agree) didn't get to see the game at all. Nice result though...nice day for the Dominicans. How long before Bonifacio is hitting higher than JPA?
  7. There is zero harm in letting him pitch it out in AAA. If he can be semi-effective even for a month or two you can easily move him and get someone to eat the majority or all of the salary. Ervin Santana was $13M for one season and KC is paying $12M of it and they gave up a player. Santana's issues were less about control and more about HR's but still there are similarities.
  8. This thread was just screaming out to Olerud363
  9. You have to be at least an hour late...don't f*** with a winning streak
  10. Who's Mom recently passed away...I pick them. Since I don't know that info I'll go with the team Mother today and take MDR.
  11. Springfield scores 1 in the bottom of the 20th. 2 out men on the corners. Audry Perez at the plate he's 0 for 8.
  12. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2013_05_11_nwaaax_spraax_1&t=g_box&sid=milb 40 K's. 20 innings 3B Ruben Gotay just gave up a 2 run shot
  13. actually I did a search and they aren't that much different that most teams in that area. Just we had mostly older players up there.
  14. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?c_id=oak&content_id=27045699&partnerId=as_mlb_20130512_7905534 surprised he didn't hurt himself
  15. It's very much an org wide thing. Hearing the Dayton announcers talk about how Hawkins was asked to change his approach in around mid summer last year to develop more power, it just another example of it (worst part is that he's added no power). Here is our list of guys with a 10% BB rate or higher (with their age. 16. He was banned for a repeat IP. Both were
  17. I'm guessing a few waiver requests were cancelled on Smith
  18. I'd like to have my say on the Doubront trade too...
  19. I believe that nothing makes sense. I remember talking about how I thought Hellickson would increase his K's by close to a K a game (similar to his home rates from last year), which in turn would bring his FIP closer to the ERA. Well it's happening and the FIP and ERA are really close...but not exactly what I meant. FB speed is down 1.4 MPH and he's barely throwing the cutter
  20. actually it turns out I found a random active account of someone's check the Jays affiliates on MILB.tv thread. If that is busy (some got a too many logged on message) or the info changes you can get mine again.
  21. Considering we are playing the O's right at the point we'll need a starter why would the O's bail us out cheaply?
  22. Another option is keep up Jenkins if he's effective and DFA or send down someone from the pen. A little pitching calendar May 12 - Jenkins May 13 - off day May 14 - Dickey May 15 - Morrow May 16 - Off day May 17 - Buehrle (Jenkins available in the pen) May 18 - Ortiz? (can DFA him if not effective and move a pen piece up) May 19 - Dickey May 20 - Morrow May 21 - Jenkins (then you send him down JJ expected to do a rehab start on the 21st) May 22 - Buehrle May 23 - Some garbage piece that you DFA after May 24 - Dickey May 25 - Morrow May 26 - JJ if ready. It's ugly no matter what but workable without too many horrid starts by Jenkins/Ortiz or other garbage. Now if Morrow's back/neck acts up and JJ doesn't get back we are screwed. What the f*** is with the 2 days off in a week, then 17 straight games and then 2 games off in a week again ******** anyway.
  23. Jenkins gives us a start and then goes down no matter how he pitches and on Tuesday an OF is called upon. Jenkins then has to go down for 10 days unless someone else is added to the dl. So we better hope that Morrow is good to go on Wednesday or we get another RR start.
