After my decision to throw my team in and “go for it” in the dispersal draft. I knew this was going to have to be a strategic waiver draft, and make sure this decision doesn’t blow up in my face. I’m not very good at this fantasy baseball thing and pick with my heart far too often.
So this year I decided to create a risk/needs analysis that I based off of the model I use at work. I was expecting to see SP, SP, SP move to the top of my list. But it turns out nothing I can pick up will improve this abomination (no offense Abom) of a starting staff. Getting Castillo was actually number one in the analysis (even over Kikuchi). I think Dingers best year ever was just 7 losses between Saves and Holds…I think I can get to that kind of number this year (depending on who ends up closing in a couple situations). Moran I will admit was outside of the analysis and just some protection for Turner. I was surprised by the results of this next pick.
Looks like I missed something in the analysis. Going to have to make a few adjustments before I make my pick.
