It's not happening yet. The Red Sox only recently decided to trade Lester and it seems like teams are still presenting overtures. I bet they'll wait until at least tomorrow afternoon to pull the trigger. -
They shouldn't do anything they wouldn't otherwise do. The Cardinals are competing against so many teams other than the Pirates.

JJ Hardy just made one of the stupidest mistakes I've ever seen to allow the Angels to tie the game at 6. Two outs, runners at the corners, routine ground ball. Hardy gets the ball and spends an inordinate amount of time looking at second before realizing the second basemen is expecting him to just throw it to first. By then it's too late!

The Royals fans who whine about the James Shields trade all the time for some reason never whine about losing Odorizzi. He is a really good young pitcher.

Yeah I like Drew and Parkes' writing and appreciated their perspective, but I've been wondering for a while how theScore's blogs can be profitable. They don't have ads and the content they produce isn't unique enough to get a ton of traffic.

Perfect through four! Yeah I don't usually consider guys like Worley since I don't know how to tell if they're actually pitching well. Some guys succeed without swinging strikes but they're hard to identify.

It's actually not that pricey ($22.5M per and the Phillies are willing to eat some $), but yeah, AA would have to clear some salary. Maybe the Phillies take back Happ and the $ the Phillies give applies heavily to 2014 (although I don't know if they're allowed to choose how $ is distributed).

Phillies apparently have made Hamels available for the right price. He's someone I'd be willing to overpay for in prospects if the $ works. True ace.

I would do Pompey and a secondary piece for Lester, yes. Not Norris though.

No, they wouldn't do that. You'd need to give up an actual top prospect and a secondary piece or two to get Lester. They're not giving him away.

Yeah that's why I asked lol. I just see speculation about Lester to LA and Kemp to the AL, then people putting two and two together. Seems like a real stretch.
