    I've always expected Tampa to trade Price. They probably have an acceptable deal and are going to drag it out to the deadline.

    What does "cheaps out" mean!?! Rogers has committed more than enough money.

    There was a clause in his contract that if he missed a year with TJS, an extra one would be tacked on for the minimum. He sat out 2012 and the clause was activated. He doesn't have a case to complain about here.

    I still believe in Craig's bat to a certain extent, but I don't think he's more than a 2-win player going forward. An okay player but not someone the Cardinals will regret dealing. Yeah I do think the Red Sox did well this morning. They're reloading well for 2015+.

    Every player gets the Fenway boost. I'm tired of Boston supposedly winning every trade in which they acquire a hitter because the hitter will thrive in Fenway. That's not how it works.

    I'm fine with this for St. Louis. Lackey's going to make the minimum next year! That's extremely valuable. And I don't think Allen Craig is very good.

    Nope! He negotiated a special type of contract that lets him avoid the arbitration/six-year FA process. He's a good player, sure, but the A's have a lot of other useful players they can now mix-and-match with in LF.

    Guys, Lester is a much better player than Cespedes and the A's are only giving up one additional year of control. He has a special type of contract that lets him become a free agent after next season. This makes some sense.

    Cespedes only has 9 months left and is a little overrated as a player.

    It seems like Heyman is just guessing on Oakland. I'm not convinced.

    If the O's gave up Gausman though... The team is in Houston, so that part could fit.

    Yep. Seems like a classic bidding war has ignited. Red Sox seem to have acceptable offers but are waiting for the best one to emerge.

    Yep, Farrell even said so. The Red Sox want to give the acquiring team an extra start.
