only winning 1 game in that series undoes everything they achieved with the winning streak. this team is frustrating. any word from the postman?

his D is fine, but he's a wasted spot in the batting order. Kawasaki gives the team "almost" as much D and a lot more in offense. edit: sad that a 250 hitter can give you a lot more than guys on your roster.

seriously? not sure why you are fighting for negative respect. There was nothing wrong with the feed. Diaz was 5 ft clear of the base when he made the throw. to spell it out for the baseball challenged, that means the feed was not only early, it was in a position that allowed the SS to clear the base and make the throw. only two things went wrong with the play, the ump didn't do his f***ing job and you had absolutely no clue.

Diaz did a great job clearing the bag for his throw. if the f***ing ump is going to let guys take out middle infielders 5 feet from the bag it's going to be impossible to turn 2

that's interference. no way the runner was anywhere near the bag. runner went off the baseline to get to the SS. rule of thumb is that the runner should be able to at least reach the bag from where they slide. he was 5ft away, so unless he has orangutan arms it was interference.

with a little work he could probably be a premiere player at just about any position. It really has to be where the team has the most need. Our problem is that they are sending Lawrie to stick his finger in the dyke to save the team, but the dyke was washed away in the off season and you can stick what you want in it now, nothing is going to stop the flood of mediocrity flows through this team.

the team has a short bench and Santos was a SS for years. he can run the bases any day he is not pitching and it gives the team another option with the short bench. I dont mind this move at all. -
If they want to save innings then let him do 4 innings starts for another month in AAA and then bring him up. They just have to have someone better than Happ as an option or else it wont matter in 2 months.

I really dont understand how Lawrie sees 2nd as a kick in the face. Lawrie talks like Gibbons has asked him to serve beer in the stands wearing a dress. Second is still a quality position and he'd solve a lot of the teams problems.

But do they have other options that can win games now? Do we really need to watch Happ be horrible for 5-6 games before they make a move? Stroman needs to pitch every 5th day whether he is in the bigs or AAA. having him rott in the pen is not really going to keep him sharp.

that's a little of what I am worried about. Not sure how many innings they think they can get out of him. they should already know the date of when he could start regularly and be ok until October. It would be interesting to know what that date would be. I'm not sure Redmond isn't better than Happ. Happ is brutal because he has to be on the edges all day with his stuff, but he doesn't have the control to do it.
