230 innings of 3.4-4.5 ERA pitching on a team that has depth issues that are not getting fixed in the short term... the 19 million really isn't that bad.

Tigers are going to have a schedule with no off days to make up all the games. that takes it's toll as well. cant just assume they will win them all, but sure they are best in their division. once the angels get going then Oakland and LA can kick the s*** out of each other. that just helps other teams catch up. wild card spots definitely up for grabs.

Tigers at 21 wins. there are a boat load of teams with 19 wins. Oakland top with 23, but they have s***** Stros to beat up on in their division.

any team in the AL that goes on a short winning streak goes into first. Oakland are the only team to separate from the rest. the way things are going 90 wins might get a playoff spot this year.

the number that is important is the # of innings that he's pitching well. Jays bullpen would all be on the DL if the team didn't have MB coming in throwing 7 solid every 5 days.

only winning 1 game in that series undoes everything they achieved with the winning streak. this team is frustrating. any word from the postman?

his D is fine, but he's a wasted spot in the batting order. Kawasaki gives the team "almost" as much D and a lot more in offense. edit: sad that a 250 hitter can give you a lot more than guys on your roster.

seriously? not sure why you are fighting for negative respect. There was nothing wrong with the feed. Diaz was 5 ft clear of the base when he made the throw. to spell it out for the baseball challenged, that means the feed was not only early, it was in a position that allowed the SS to clear the base and make the throw. only two things went wrong with the play, the ump didn't do his f***ing job and you had absolutely no clue.

Diaz did a great job clearing the bag for his throw. if the f***ing ump is going to let guys take out middle infielders 5 feet from the bag it's going to be impossible to turn 2

that's interference. no way the runner was anywhere near the bag. runner went off the baseline to get to the SS. rule of thumb is that the runner should be able to at least reach the bag from where they slide. he was 5ft away, so unless he has orangutan arms it was interference.
