jays should have put away in the first couple of innings. Tigers defense was kicking the ball around. Thole left a small town on the bases. he's useless.

with the exaggerated shifts teams are playing I am really surprised that teams dont work on just slapping the ball the other way until the defense shows respect. they are playing big shifts for almost every hitter now. Rod Carew would have hit 500 against the modern shift. dude was one of the best punching Judy's to play the game.

I have a question for the numbers guys. what do the numbers say about hitters taking the bunt single against an over shift? I know the numbers say that sacrificing is a bad play in almost any situation. A sure single has to be better than a possible Xbase hit?
