come on guys.... it's getting petty.
Jays just got a solid pen piece, a top bat whose damn good at SS and we traded away Reyes. be happy and love each other. life is too short!
interesting to wake up to this.
I don't think the Jays would flip Tulo. They don't have a SS in their system that is good enough to play now.
who are we trading to get a starter?
looking at what KC had to pay I dont think the jays have the pieces in their farm system to get what they would need this year and we can't lose top players from the roster and still have a chance.
that one move for KC could win them a world series. If the jays made the same move we'd still only be an 82-84 win team. makes no sense for us to do it, but then common sense isn't always used as a tool in the decision making.
ok, I have a question for the guys who are good at finding obscure stats, what has lost the team more games, Reyes' errors or Loup's HRs? Loup has given up some Long balls for losses but Reyes has been an error machine. I'm going to guess it's Reyes
Beeston was hired while Ted was still in charge at Rogers. The question is if Rogers will replace Beeston with someone who knows baseball and is willing to hire saber help. If that happens then we might have a chance of getting a good GM. If we get a good GM we might get a good manager...
ifs and buts
if we are lucky AA is remembered for deviating from "the plan" of creating a sustainable winner for an all in and take on bad contracts while selling off your farm outburst.
If we are unlucky AA will be remembered for running into the iceberg and sinking the ship.
I hope he doesn't empty the rest of the farm on a pipe dream.
I think every player should have the hand eye coordination to be able to sac bunt. The fact that Goins can't even lay down a sac bunt screams that he's delusional about his own talent level.
If being able to bunt was the difference between you being a AAAA lifer or getting MLB money and a real career, you'd have to be a complete ass not to put the hours in to learn to be perfect at it.
if we had a good GM the manager would be less relevant. A manager can't play the wrong guys if they aren't on the team.
both teams played s*** today. Jays just made the last mistake.
I don't care what his peripheral numbers are... he's a late innings guy with 5 losses. that means he's come in 5 times and directly given it up.
only RA and Estrada have more losses than Loup. 36 hits in 34.2 innings
it's like the whole game is being mailed in. severely fugly all around. whichever team loses is going to be butt hurt because replacement baseball would have won this game
