  1. With permission from Fatcow, who I believe is busy today.. http://i.imgur.com/0Am2FdZ.jpg Series so far: *series opening today* Pitching Matchup: http://i.imgur.com/csybPgD.jpg SP - Brandon Morrow (45.1 IP, 6.95 K/9, 3.38 BB/9, .296 BAA, .295 BABIP, 11.8% HR/FB, 4.97 FIP) [R] http://i.imgur.com/Yn6gOao.jpg SP - Kevin Gausman (46.1 IP, 9.52 K/9, .97 BB/9, .240 BAA, .313 BABIP, 2.44 FIP in AAA) [R] Lineups: http://i.imgur.com/r3fxtG8.jpg Jays Batting: Actual Batting: http://i.imgur.com/Kv65s6a.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VLtWYRB.jpg Orioles Batting: Actual Batting: http://i.imgur.com/nMLylLl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/nLQUvrJ.jpg Jays Pitching: http://i.imgur.com/A0O7k9Y.jpg Orioles Pitching: http://i.imgur.com/EXYfMES.jpg Notes: Orioles:: Adam Jones started at DH on Wednesday while dealing with soreness in his groin, though he could return to center field in Toronto. Nolan Reimold will miss the series because of a strained hamstring. It is Kevin Gausman's MLB debut tonight. The 4th overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft, he is the first pitcher to make it to the MLB, beating out players like Michael Waka, Marcus Stroman, and Mike Zunino. Jays: The Blue Jays enter the weekend series against the division-rival Orioles with a 10-18 record against the American League East. The Blue Jays are coming off of their first series win in over 16 tries versus Tampa Bay. I'll have better/more content in mine in the future whenever I'm needed, but I don't have time to crop right now. Let's go Blue Jays!
  2. What was the 1997 debacle, signing Clemens? T'was before my time as a Jays / sports fan lol.
  3. This makes me so excited about university, lol.
  4. #keyboardwarriors #howmanychinsuworkinwith
  5. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/05/mariners-to-demote-jesus-montero.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook So Jesus Montero just got demoted.
  6. J.P. Arencibia had a 7.4 BB% in 2011. What the f*** happened?
  7. It's understandable, just surprising I guess. I assume you don't follow prospects as much as some do. I started leaving casual fandom around the 2009 draft and I got into prospects, so since I've always followed prospects quite a bit, I hear his name every so often. He was a super scout.
  8. He was playing injured too so it really wasn't that bad a season by any means, and I think I'd rather his last year at 2B than Maicer and Boni lol. Ike Davis also outwalked Arencibia's career last year, and so did Ricky Weeks, and David DeJesus.
  9. Really? He's helped establish the Blue Jays' latin presence and signed over 80 MLBers including Carlos Delgado and Tony Fernandez. Dude's pretty important.
  10. "The Book says the #5 guy can provide more value than the #3 guy with singles, doubles, triples, and walks, and avoiding outs, although the #3 guy holds an advantage with homeruns. After positions #1, #2, and #4 are filled, put your next best hitter here, unless he lives and dies with the long ball." Melky > Lind in 1B/2B/3B/OBP Lind > Melky in HR I like Melky hitting 5th.
  11. Not the best example, because Walktista is a beast. Kelly Johnson, though, had 62 walks, which is 3 more than JPA has had in his career.
  12. Now would be a nice time to stop pretending you know exactly what every GM, manager, and coach does.
  13. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2009/3/17/795946/optimizing-your-lineup-by 5th spot > 3rd spot.
  14. Sigh.
  15. So I can't be sad that a great scout and great person passed away? f*** off. R.I.P. Epy, you'll be missed.
  16. R.I.P. Epy
  17. My immediate thought was of Eric Thames.
  18. Thanks, Nox, for making the argument I was too lazy to make lol. That would actually be huge.
  19. Is it sad that JPA's making me long for the days of Raul Chavez and Curtis Thigpen?
  20. Why the f*** wouldn't they just take Bryant/Frazier?
  21. I'd rather Reyes Bautista Lind Encarnacion Melky Lawrie Rasmus JPA/Thole Boni/Izzy
  22. So Chris Sale has shoulder tendinitis. As someone who's had that, ouch.
  23. There's a better chance of Henry Blanco hitting a grand slam People on this board are weird but not THAT weird lol.
