  1. Oh yeah I remember that article. So he withdrew from the draft?
  2. He's not really all that great and I'm completely fine with marketing him as a trade chip. The system is chock full of pretty decent OF prospects (Davis, Alford, Pillar, Gose, Anderson, etc, etc) to go along with a strong MLB OF, and Smith's ceiling really isn't that high imo. If we could get a useful piece for him I'd be game. You can look like an ******* without my help.
  3. I'm going to stick by Norris until he gets released lol.
  4. So is Karen Whitson still around? Isn't he going in this draft?
  5. I don't think it's capable of human emotion.
  6. It's because you're f***ing annoying
  7. Ah fack it's too late for math lol. Point is he debuted a long time ago.
  8. What the f***? 18 doubles in two months. 10 per month, that should easily break the record, no? Ridiculous. Kid is a stud.
  9. ... So... uh... *Topic change* how about that Encarnacion guy, eh? Anyone else love Devlin's commentary?
  10. 5 whole years ago, he made his debut at 17. I hope I'm not looking back in 5 years and thinking the same about guys like Barreto and Osuna lol.
  11. Aaaaaaand this is why I hate PGTs, lol.
  12. I read about what happened to you and made a poorly-thought-out joke to try and lighten the mood or something, probably not the smartest thing.
  13. Who needs women when baseball and delivered food exists? That might have been ever so slightly sexist lol
  14. 14.3 Estruns, he's an amazing framer, but I think Suzuki (1.6) is more likely. If you regress Thole to a .315 BABIP... 0.315 (113 - 17 - 4 + 1) + 1 = 29.295 Calling that 30 hits, plus 13 BB, he'd have a .349 OBP. http://mlsplits.drivelinebaseball.com/mlsplits/mlecalc If you run his regressed stats into that, he'd have a .297 OBP in the MLB, which is like 50 points higher than JPA's.
  15. Encarnacion and Gose are monsters.
  16. He kinda is. He's really, really, really, really... [...] ... really, really bad for a baseball player in general.
  17. I think he's Dwayne Murphy. Doesn't give a damn about OBP.
  18. I saw that too, I'm pretty sure it's just SSS. Would be surprised if it wasn't. Would kill some of his value, though.
  19. It's not that obscure, just not 100% quantified. You know what's hilariously depressing as f***? Curtis Thigpen saved 3.39 more EstRuns than JPA. CURTIS THIGPEN. It's actually very conceivable that Thigpen was more valuable over 500 PA or whatever benchmark than JPA. He's that bad. I would gladly trade a guy like Alford or Nay for Hanigan, though, he'd be ridiculous. Geovanni Soto's also apparently pretty good and would go cheap.
