I don't think it does. He might have just given consent for the Astros to take him when he planned on keeping the FA option open. So he'd get drafted, and if they're willing to pay however f***ing much Boras wants then he'll sign, if not, he'll go to free agency and sign where he pleases (come to Toronto, mark! It isn't THAT bad!). This is assuming he CAN go to FA, which I don't know if he can.
