I bet the Padres would deal Spangeberg for Lind. Their 1B situation is UGLY. Blanks is probably gone and Alonso a.) can play LF and b.) has a Goinsian wRC+. Actually, independent of a Lind deal, I wonder what Gyorko would cost. Seems like whenever SD locks up a young guy, they get cursed. Also, Angels would totally do a Taylor Lindsey for Adam Lind deal.

Hey, no. My fellow Leafs fans have taught me that it would be most unwise to trade valuable pieces such as Dion Phaneuf for an expiring contract. May I interest you in our other pieces such as Frazer McLaren? I could give you that Gardiner scrub or that Muslim guy but we're probably gonna trade them for Bryan Allan.
