Minny is bad for rookies isn't it? It's about development versus opportunity. Would you rather him stay in Cleveland where he'll likely end up a better player but be less likely to go to Toronto, or go to Minnesota where he'll likely end up worse but have a higher chance of going to Toronto?

Oh, my apologies, I was just speaking in a general sense. In this situation, yeah. Or, he could resign with the Orioles. That's a possibility that you have to be aware of. Granted, that's slim to none, which would make Gausman/Lester a great trade for them. Quite frankly, I'd rather they not. The Red Sox are a bigger threat than the O's. We don't need them getting any more help.

Dealing within the division is ideal if you think you're winning the trade. You're taking value from your closest rivals. Of course, if you're wrong and you lose the trade, you're f***ed.
