  1. You can't really say "other than his command issues;" That's exactly why, and it's a big deal. We think he's unlikely to get better because of his peers in history. Give this a quick read. http://www.breakingblue.ca/2015/05/13/do-prospects-like-aaron-sanchez-improve-their-control-an-investigation/ What was his BB/9 in the other 58%? You can't pick and choose your sample. Besides, in that 42% sample, what was his K/9? You know what correlates highly with ERA? BABIP which we've established is in a sample too small to recognize. So his ERA is mainly irrelevant. Why on earth do people think fastball velo suppresses babip? Higher FBv = higher exit velocity on contact= harder hit baseballs = more hit. This is an entirely invalid statement as we've already established ITT.

    That's not how it works...
  3. People misunderstand some of the forum's sentiment. As of right now, he's not really a major league pitcher; he could get better; it's not entirely likely he'll get better, but it's possible; the ceiling is there, it's just a longshot he'll reach it, is what most people think right now i think. No one thinks Sanchez is already maxed out and a bust, people just find it unlikely he'll hit his ceiling.

ughhhh I don't want him lol
  5. His Hard%, BABIP, LD%, etc, are small samples. They do not have enough data to be relied upon. His K%, BB%, SwStr%, and GB% are reliable. His K% is below average, his BB% is horrendous, his SwStr is bad but improved over last year by quite a sizable margin, and his GB% is elite. So, we can surmise that Sanchez doesn't really get strikeouts, walks too many guys, is improving with regards to SwStr but still needs work, and is fantastic at getting GB. This is all we can honestly know about Aaron Sanchez right now.
  6. You have to end it here, then. It's a small sample, and doesn't have statistical significance. Nothing can be concluded except for that.
  7. his control is amazing but his arm action is ewwwwww
  8. Why are you looking at BABIP, Hard%, and LD% as a skill in a small sample

Ross + Novak cap exception + Ridnour nonguaranteed for Lee would be a net cost of 4.5m or so. We either have the cost or very close to the cost to absorb his contract, I believe. I could be totally wrong, does the cap exception expire or something?

Totally but pick 28 + pick 25 (being optimistic here for our Raps) + a lotto pick could fetch something good next year and Lee isn't a bad stop gap for just one year. Horford, Anderson, Terrence Jones, Danillo, MKG, Barnes, Henson, Jefferson, Hickson, Drummond, Whiteside are all FA next year fwiw. we f***ing gave away Whiteside sigh Isn't Lee a very good passer? That's something we need.

Js if we got a first for taking on Lee that'd be 3 first rounders including one that is likely to be pretty high Rookie contracts are going to be gold in the new TV deal. Rookie scale won't be adjusted to the cap, I don't think. Unless it will, in which case I'm dumn. But 3 picks is still nice. Simmons, Rabb, Bender, Murray, etc.

I'm going off of a 107 DRTG His defense tracking seems pretty average though

Dineke if you want defense at PF we should probably be going for Faried Contract is really reasonable under new cap and he's a Ujiri guy. Wonder what it'd take. Ross, Ridnour, a first and second? Not NYK first.

He's shot around 39% from mid range. Doesn't need a ton of work to make that legitimately good. His jump shot is definitely workable imo

I hear Sim Bhullar is available and Canadian Let me put it this way. If we trade for Lee, we'll get a first round pick in the deal. The more first rounders we have. the more first rounders we can package with Demar for someone who isn't bad

I think Gibson probably happens. What's our wishlist at this point? Solid options: 1. Lee 2. Morris 3. Gibson 4. Gallinari -- 5. Everyone else

Ross + Ridnour + Novak cap exception for Lee would be taking on 4.5m of cap space. If Joseph and Carroll's deals are back loaded, which it'd be ridiculous if they weren't, I see no reason we can't afford that. I'm sure GS would include an asset with Lee as well, especially considering Ross kind of has value. His defense isn't good but that's what Biyombo is for. Really want this to happen.

I dunno if the defense was Casey's fault last year. With Lou Demar and Vasquez there's only so much you can do. I do like the way we defend pick and rolls. Iso ball will be a big thing. If Casey moves on from that, I'll go back to being neutral on him.
