  1. Didn't they do that in 92/93?
  2. Over his career he has 123 FB of HR/FB%, and the rate is 50, so we can assume that's legit, but BABIP takes 820 BIP and he's nowhere near that.
  3. Sign me up for option C: What I believe is most likely to happen in the future. and yes, it is still SSS. I hope he keeps raking too, man. He's not Jose Bautista but I believe he's a very good bat.
  4. how can BABIP be real if our eyes aren't real move tulo out of leadoff f***ing yaaaaaaaaaaa
  5. For expecting him to continue such an elite level of performance when there are red flags. We're just trying to objectively assess his performance and are always trying to support the decision we genuinely feel is best for the team. I like Bello. I hope he can continue hitting like this, he's a lot of fun to watch lol. He's like Hunter Pence lite out there with his awkwardness.
  6. Well there goes that.
  7. and that spells out BAR. Which is where you get beer. Coincidence? More like illuminati.
  8. coors .379 wOBA = 100 wRC+
  9. it's a rivalry get over it
  10. You can't just expect luck to continue though. If his production fell off during a playoff run it'd be disastrous.
  11. my whole life is a lie
  12. Ted Williams: 2292 PA, .328 BABIP Chris Colabello 2015: 288 PA, .406 BABIP WAT
  13. wRC+ is a rate stat and the projections aim to capture true talent. Steamer believes that Colabello is 9% better than league average as a hitter, which is not insignificant.
  14. 109 wRC+ by Steamer is not practically league average
  15. I'd like him more as a sidekick tbh. to Dan Schulman
  16. Either it happens or it doesn't. 50/50! #probability #analysis #math #nerds #spreadsheets #Fangraphsdotcom #projectionsarebetterthanthebible
  17. 10% is still a solid rate. The stupidly low rate at which he's used might have made your memory a bit woozy and maybe there's a certain robot reading this who can try and mention that to Gibby in passing?
  18. I'll PM you hang on
  19. Look at UZR for defensive "skill," how good you are at defense. Or DRS, whatever tickles your fancy. Look at Def for defensive "value," or what value you contribute defensively based on how good you are (based on UZR but you can substitute DRS with some easy math) + where you play.
  20. "Osuan" ctrl F and you'll find the typo I'm home tomorrow, had a change of plans, so I have two days free coming up and can write. I kinda really like your article as a seguay into my own Hendriks/Osuna piece, baubau. I'll PM admin about wok, and wok too lol
  21. #Spittinformod
  22. Mention Matt Shoemaker in the article! Lol I literally haven't even had the werewithal to post this: I'd actually like to pen an Osuna/Hendriks article. I'll have one day off this week; I'll set aside my time and maybe some weekend time if I need it to do that.
  23. Goins up to 0.7 WAR in 92 games. Article isn't very good though. P/PA isn't useful. He's walking at a 9% rate this year which is a massive improvement for him. If he can keep that up there's definitely some hope for an 80-85 wRC+ bat which is enough with his glove to be a decentish regular. Projections still aren't favorable though.
  24. Lol, fluff. Yes, North, I'm well aware of how busy I've been and it hasn't been entirely pleasant.
