  1. Happ might be too lol
  2. Neither do I. But Spanky thinks our team is stacked so we're good.
  3. A $70 asset is what I call BTS' mom. A $70m asset comes in all different shapes and sizes! Value can be tied to length of control or it can come from pure skill. Carrasco is like a $145m type guy (I only know that off hand since I did it the other day); he's controllable, cheap, and a demigod. Ross, however, is probably a $20m asset; He's great, but only one year of control left. He's very close in value to Bautista and Edwin(did this the other day too). I'm not sure off hand who's a $70m type. Just off hand, I don't think it's quite enough for Quintana but I think the White Sox would probably consider it. I'd do that without a second thought. Maybe a guy like Lance Lynn, Garrett Richards or Kyle Hendricks but I don't think the needs match up there. Julio Teheran's actual value likely lies around $70m, but I think the Braves hold for an overpayment. *Maybe* Danny Salazar would come out around $70m+ but I doubt it, probably closer to $90-100m. I dunno, it's an awkward fit. Also not many rebuilding teams right now. Maybe you could add a whole lot more for Sunny Gray but he's f***ing valuable lol.
  4. He actually listed that on his resume, no joke.
  5. So what you're telling me is he's eligible to be drafted?

  8. Also I've known about this forever and holy f*** has it been hard to keep in
  9. Pre-law? You can do anything before law school lol My current goal is financial math and comp sci at Waterloo so
  10. I would only backload for team-related reasons (too much $$ in upcoming years but backloading is obviously sketchy as we'll see in a few years). I'd be totally content with Heyward opting out because his defense won't always be there. He will eventually turn into a 120 wRC+ average defense COF and you shouldn't be too motivated to stick around for that. 4 great years of Heyward would be nice.

That's a great what if but I wouldn't criticize management like Jays/Gomes. He was s*** while he was here lol
  14. Thank you! Fangraphs proposed a $27m AAV and I proposed a $30m AAV (mainly cause Scherzer just got it but I know some is deferred). So it's a $3m per year difference which isn't significant (this was published before I saw the crowd sourcing or else I would've used that). I mentioned in the article you could quibble over years. Crowdsource said 7, I guessed 8. Both are reasonable imo. That could get you a lot imo. Probably a $70m asset.
  15. David Price probably isn't a great candidate to re-sign for either party http://www.breakingblue.ca/2015/11/04/the-implications-of-re-signing-david-price/
  16. Imo Jays have a better future than the Yanks (both are good). Dunno if I'd put the Sox that high. Rangers and Nats shouldn't be above Jays. Royals too low. I'm considering management and not just players, though. Idk if they did
  17. I think NJH was just looking at bargains, but Heyward on less than 200m is a complete steal. Especially with a 4 year ETO/mutual. Really hoping for it. Seems like a Shapiro player.

It depends on personal preference imo. Vucevic has the capability to blow up for a ridiculous game or have a s***** game whereas JV is one of the more consistent young centers I've seen. Personally I prefer the highs and lows but there's totally an argument for either.
  19. Zobrist (3/42) Kuma (3/42) Kennedy (3/36) Lackey (2/30) Jaso (2/12) Lowe (2/8) Madson(1/5) Blanton(1/4) Hill(1/6) Lee(whatever) Samardzija(4/64) Span(3/36) Latos(2/22) O'Day(3/21) Pearce(2/12) Colon(1/10) Young(1/6) Cahill(1/5)

You already kind of have to rank him up in that non-superstar (non-DMC/Davis) tier of centers. Probably at the bottom, but without looking at the stats at all and completely off hand, he's probably slowly ascending the tier of guys like Vucevic, Drummond, Gasol, etc. Not quite there but he's getting there. He's a stud.
  23. around and around we go
  24. nerds quibbling over decimals ITT
  25. Wait, Jonny Gomes still plays baseball?
