Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Here's the same PA from BAseball Savant. Pitches 2 and 4 are not egegiously bad, really borderline. But #7 was a bad call They were strikes, egregiously bad.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 They were strikes, egregiously bad. Agreed! Given that we have the technology to make 100% of the calls correct, any missed call is egregious.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 I can easily see Pearson becoming a better version of Stripling. Not this year tho, exclusively relieving this year to manage innings. Just let Pearson be, 1-2 innings at a time is his calling card. I don't think he can handle starter work loads, he'll eventually get hurt. Let him concentrate on short max effort bursts, that's how you'll get max value out of him imo.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 (edited) Pearson looks FILTHY. Love it. Please stay healthy What a great option he'd be coming affer Berrios or Kikuchi in the 6th to go 1-2 innings Edited March 19, 2023 by G-Snarls
