Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I still don’t understand why Bo is hitting ahead of Teo and Gurriel.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 We are barely getting pitches above the zone in the air off Hicks sinker
vdartanian Verified Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Yeah Agreed that while Berrios wasn't really spot on with his command there wasn't a lot of hard contact. If defense would have played straight up instead of shifting we probably save a run or two.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 STL OF is sexy... that's with their best defender on the IL in Bader.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Gurriel and Teo brain cramps, lol.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Very sketchy play again onnthe base paths
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Bad baserunning is a big issue with this team.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 What a clutch base hit from Chapman.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Why does Lourdes think he is fast? That was a just f***ing horrible out to give up with a runner on 3B. Chappy pickin' him up thank god.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 2 of the worst slides I have ever seen. One was a base running blunder and the other might have got Teo hurt
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Chapman looks like a completely different player the last 3 weeks.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 With the heat Hicks has, it's kind of rare to see a RP like him averaging less than a strikeout per inning.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Tapia getting loose putting the fear of God in the Cards.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 With the heat Hicks has, it's kind of rare to see a RP like him averaging less than a strikeout per inning. He has control issues (which most with 100 mph do) but he threw two unhittable strikes to the bottom/away corner; if he can do that consistently, he wouldn't even need a secondary pitch.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 With the heat Hicks has, it's kind of rare to see a RP like him averaging less than a strikeout per inning. It's a sinker. Those tend to run right into all the slight uppercut swings these days.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Wow, Rays might lose to the O's again tonight.
