gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Siddle makes a good point where Bo's swing plains out when swinging at balls up in the zone, where a lot of hitters now have increased their launch angle to a point where they can't square up the high heat.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 I can remember when commercials were somewhat entertaining and interesting. Boy those days are long gone. Sorry mate but this is an even worse example of rose tinted nostalgia than your theory that umpires used to be better back in the day. The majority of adverts have always been s***.

KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Vlad looked like Pillar there.. Vladdys got a massive weakness to the low and outside breaking ball. Just can't lay off it with 2 strikes. Hopefully he tightens up that part of his game. Pillar never managed to do it in like 8 seasons but vladdy is a much better hitter so hopefully he will be fine

I just hope he doesn't rely on his natural abilities too heavily, foregoing coaching, the video room, etc.
