spittin Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Chappy, you just really busy or flaking out?? Pretty sure you wouldn't have wanted to sit two starts in this particular situation.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 How are teams at or below .500 "good"? Because so much of the league is bad I guess lol. .476 w% is still good for #10 in the league which you'd say is a reasonably good team. I dunno.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Shelby Miller has pretty much single-handedly s***-tanked my pitching ratios. Just unfathomably bad. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to find out he has a season-ending injury that he's been hiding. His peripherals reek of a shoulder problem.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Power rankings aren't based on wins - they're based on the individual team performance. So, if your team goes .330/.425/.560, with 2.08 ERA, 5.2 K/BB and 1.29 WHIP with awesome counting stats, it's going to give you a big boost in the power rankings, even if your team went 0-14 that week. It's meant to have predictive capabilities. It works the other way too, I'm 3rd last in the power rankings but over .500

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Should have just stuck with the original tiers: .600+ = elite .550 - .599 = great .500 - .549 = good .450 - .499 = average/mediocre .400 - .449 = poor sub-.400 = dogshit You really don't need an equal number of teams per tier or whatever dumbass suggestion that was from boxy.

I never suggested that dickcheese.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I never suggested that dickcheese. Oh maybe jfart then.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Oh maybe jfart then. I actually do my index thingers the same way you do. It's common sense that a team below .500 isn't "good"

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 If anyone wants in on some V-Mart let me know. wRC+ of 202. He looks like 2014 V-Mart. You should get an excellent return from somebody.
spittin Verified Member Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 If anyone wants in on some V-Mart let me know. Well s***, he has 1B eligibility right? I should probably get myself a first baseman.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Mike Trout has been a better hitter than Bryce Harper this season.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Mike Trout has been a better hitter than Bryce Harper this season. Not by wOBA. You don't get bonus points for park factors in fantasy, bro.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 God damn it really pisses me off that I was so close to getting Arenado and had to settle for Sano. FML.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Not by wOBA. You don't get bonus points for park factors in fantasy, bro. Situations can change. This is a dynasty league. Just pointing out that Trout has been the better hitter than harper, because you'd never know it reading Boxy's dumn posts in the first two weeks of the season.

Harper has been in a brutal slump the last week, that's regression for ya. He's still beating Trout by wOBA and Yahoo rank tho, so maybe give it a few more days before you put on the full court press.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does finish as the more valuable player than Trout in 2016. But it won't be by a lot, and things like future CF eligibility and injury history factored into the decision too.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Mike Trout has been a better hitter than Bryce Harper this season. Slumps happen brotato. Also keep in mind that Harper will steal more bases than Trout, probably hit more homers than Trout, hit more RBIs than Trout and might score more runs than Trout.

Just an FYI, Trout said he was going to run again this year. Whatever that means by seasons end, who knows.
