SultanofPoon Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 This game is a perfect example of how elite pitching can shut down elite offense No s*** sherlock.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 No hit again through 5 innings...has become a pattern over the last few weeks. Need baserunners and hits the next time through the lineup
raBBit Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Samardzija took a no-no into the 6th last time out. Jays don't seem to hit anywhere near the same level away from the Rogers Centre. Obviously it's a hitters environment there, but the deviation is steep. Whispers around the MLB Jays are tipping pitches in CF. Is that reverberating in Tdot?
LTR Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Our lineup is that bad though. Missing a good chunk of it and having different players everyday doesn't let some hitters get into a rhythm Our collective projected wOBA vs righties today is 0.308, this is weighted by the order of players in the line-up... like I said, not that bad.

raBBit Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Tipping pitches from CF? You realise hiw idiotic that is and impossible? You're inherently biased. It's a used and condemned practice.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 How about that, looks like Smoak just lost us the game (note: I'm not actually watching, so I can't see what happened).
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Now Smoak making errors at a horrible time. This team needs the ASB to come sooner rather than later.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 GDT shows that 4th pitch right down the middle, huh?
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 How about that, looks like Smoak just lost us the game (note: I'm not actually watching, so I can't see what happened). it was a pretty brutal error. slow grounder went through his legs, as routine as they come

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Been snapping my crayons for improved D at 1B with Smoak and then he duffs one to lead off the inning. Oh well it happens. Lets get out of this.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Didn't the white sox start that man in white nonsense a couple of years ago? it was one of their guys in the BP.
raBBit Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Didn't the white sox start that man in white nonsense a couple of years ago? It was last year at Comerica. Sale pointed out to CF and made a binoculars motion after having an exchange with Victor Martinez.
SultanofPoon Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 You're inherently biased. It's a used and condemned practice. Where is it used? How is it even possible? You are a moron if you believe this.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 How about that, looks like Smoak just lost us the game (note: I'm not actually watching, so I can't see what happened). Easy slow hit ground ball that stayed down, but Smoak didn't have his body in front of it and seemed to be breaking to first before he actually fielded the ball.
SultanofPoon Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 It was last year at Comerica. Sale pointed out to CF and made a binoculars motion after having an exchange with Victor Martinez. How would they in a few seconds then relay the pitch to the batter? Lol was just a fan.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 it was a pretty brutal error. slow grounder went through his legs, as routine as they come It didn't go through his legs, holy f***.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Please Dickey, don't f*** this up
raBBit Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Where is it used? How is it even possible? You are a moron if you believe this. This is a personal attack. Being an admin on other sites, I won't succumb to this. As someone who is quasi-industry, I will say it is a practice that has been used in baseball for years in varying degrees. I am sure you would be much more open to the idea if it were presented in a way that didn't include your favorite team.

raBBit Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Where is it used? How is it even possible? You are a moron if you believe this. I did not bring up that individual scenario. It has been used in other stadiums in more coordinated schemes. Using lights, cameras, etc. One of MLB's worst kept secrets to those in the know.

How would then the message in a few seconds get to the batter?

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Dickey's got the good knuckleball today. Unfortunately, neither team brought their bats.. both Shark and Dickey are dominating.
